S02 Movement / F02 Negotiations

This.was.awesome. Look at Italy move to help me, or at least I hope help me, and look at Austria and Russia swarming Germany. This had to be unexpected by EG, and it puts off my death a bit. I immediately send a thank you note.

Italy and Austria seemed pleased. Except for the last line of Austria’s post (below), it looks good.

And, Russia seems happy, as well.

I reach out to Germany. It is hard not to gloat.

I also reach out to England to try and turn him.

I also plant the seed and try to get England to move to Holland.

I also talk to Germany about the Belgian possibility for him. I assume this talk of Holland with England and Belgium with Germany will go nowhere, but it never hurts to try.

Meanwhile, I stare at the map here to go through my options.

I would love to get to Portugal, but can’t risk losing the Mao. I am worried the English fleet in the Channel will support Bur-Par if I try and self bounce in Brest with Paris and Picardy. I’m worried Burgundy may also support Pie-Mar. I try to gather some intel.

It doesn’t seem like EG will be breaking up anytime soon, no matter what they say. I can’t find a way to get Portugal this turn, so after conversing with Italy and confirming his support, I enter in these orders, which basically sacrifice Picardy, and hope to delay some more and play D. Let’s hope Italy doesn’t knife me!
