F01 Negotiations - Day 2

Russia says he’s on board with an FIR alliance. Things might be looking up, but I’m worried about EG.

But then, bad news. Lots of silence from E and G. I reached out to Russia.

Russia wasn’t sweating it. OK. Maybe everything is fine. England and I barely communicate. I don’t believe anything he says and I don’t think he believes anything I say.

I feel like I have to trust someone, but no one is speaking to me. That’s usually really bad news, because people don’t like to lie. Silence=death in Diplomacy. I decide to share intel with Germany to try and build some trust.

Then, hours pass. Nothing. No word at all. I enter moves to where I attack Eng-Lon and Bur-Mun. I really don’t want to do that, because I don’t want to make two enemies, and I’m hopeful Germany will come around. Germany finally responds:

I wonder if that’s subterfuge about London. Could be. But, I still feel like I have to throw my lot in with someone, so I try and offer a good reason for Germany to throw in his lot with me.

Note, I even tell Germany that I’m wary that England won’t move to London. Anyways, tick, tock, tick, tock. The hours keep passing. Nothing. No response. Finally Germany responds:

So, here’s an iron clad game plan. I’m ready for these moves to go down.
