Media Wars II Begins

Again? I got eliminated in sixth place last year in Media Wars 1. You can read about my miseries here.

Anyways, I guess all the plugs we give to Diplomacy Briefing forced them to inviting me to try again this year for Media Wars 2, a Diplomacy game of Diplomacy content providers.

Since the great Zach Moore isn’t playing this year, I have copied his video log format and will be posting my thoughts of the game and players written in real time, but only made public afterwards. You can follow the game on Backstabbr here.

This year it’s being played non-anonymously. I am playing Germany (yay!). Here are the players. Please check out their content.

Austria. Legendary Tactics – Good guy, who refused to come to my rescue last year. Love his Diplomacy videos. You’ll find content there for beginners, intermediate, and advanced players. You’ll also see a bunch of other gaming videos, none of which I know nothing about, but I would go there if I wanted to learn more about other games.

England. Florida Man - Don’t know him personally. I’m a big fan of his content. Good information for players looking to improve their game.

France. DiploStrats (Ezio) - Don’t know him personally, but I’ve listened to his analyses. He’s smart.

Germany. Me.

Italy. Diplomacy Games (Amby) - Amby is an Aussie who likes to drink beer, but apparently dislikes Fosters and Crocodile Dundee. Fake Aussie? Got eliminated seventh last year, so maybe he will want to work with the guy who got eliminated sixth (moi).

Russia. Diplomacy Briefing (Lady Razor) - Sigh. This guy. He is representing The Briefing, and yet there is only one website with both his biography and his artwork, and somehow we get no credit.

Turkey. Oliver Lugg. He seems the brainiest of everyone. It’s a good thing we are far away from each other. He has an absolutely fantastic video on Diplomacy, which my daughter liked. He also made the great trailer embedded at the top of this page.
