S01 Negotiations Day 1

S01 of Media Wars

Okay, I drew France. Not bad. As I indicated in the last post, I know I’m outclassed here tactically, but let’s ramp up the social game a bit. Turkey immediately, and presumably unintentionally, outed himself as Amby from Diplomacy Games. No one seemed to care. A discussion ensued as to whether meta gaming was occuring, and I had to figure out what that meant. After I did so, it gave me a good chance to announce myself to the other players:

My link was to a Rick Roll, and that got some positive feedback. I doubled down after Austria sent a post introducing himself.

By the way, the Kim Jong Il link from Team America is an old chestnut I use in my games. It tends to lighten the mood.

As for negotiations, I’m doing my normal bit, trying to find a friend. Germany and I seem to hit it off well. I go for my standard fare humor.

Germany responds nicely enough…

I try to hit it off with England, but he’s far less communicative.

Everyone else and I yuck it up a bit. Russia/Germany and I talk about a Sea Lion, but nothing really materializes. Italy and I created some good chemistry.

I enter standard French fare. F Bre-Mao, A Par-Bur, A Mar-Gas (in case England moves to the channel).
